Puppies for Patients

This promotion runs November - December.
This holiday season, give the gift that costs nothing but means everything to a local patient. When you donate blood between November 1st and December 31st, you will have the opportunity to save three local lives and brighten a local child's hospital stay. Pints for Pounds

This promotion runs January - February.
For each donation in the months of January and February, CBCC will donate 7 pounds of food to Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina. Since the campaign began in 2009, we've been able to donate 130,398 pounds of food thanks to local donors and sponsors like you. Through your support, we can save and sustain local patients and feed the hungry in our community.

Thank you to our 2011 Pints for Pounds Sponsors! Click here to see the sponsors that helped make this a success.

Pints for Pounds

Pint for a Night

This promotion runs March - April.
We're excited about our new partnership with the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte (RMHC). For each blood donation, CBCC will make a financial contribution to RMHC, which houses and supports the families of sick children being treated in local hospitals. With your help, we can provide the blood products children need and give their families a home-away-from-home.

Pints for Patriots

This promotion runs May - July.
This summer, please join CBCC as we show our support for the military and their families. When you donate blood between May 1 and July 31, 2012, CBCC will make a contribution to charities that help wounded veterans. With each donation, you can be a hero to a local patient and show a hero how much you appreciate their service.

Pints for Pencils

This promotion runs August - September.
Join CBCC in supporting regional public schools through its Second Annual 'Pints for Pencils' campaign. For each blood donation in August and September 2012, CBCC will donate $1 for school supplies to the public school systems in the 16 North Carolina Counties and three South Carolina Counties they serve. The 'Pints for Pencils' program is one of the many ways CBCC is supporting local students, who make up over 20 percent of its donor base. Throughout the year, CBCC will offer local students the opportunity to win more than $36,000 in scholarships. For more information on the scholarship or grant opportunities offered by CBCC, contact Kim Jones, director of development and public relations at 704-972-4727 or

Support the fight!

This promotion runs in October.
Cancer patients are the primary recipients of blood products in our local hospitals. This October, join CBCC and the American Cancer Society in the fight against cancer. Donate blood or platelets in honor of a loved one, or join "Team CBCC" in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk on October 29. You can also help by giving rides to cancer patients through the "Road to Recovery" program.
