About Sponsoring a Drive

Thank you for your interest in holding a blood drive with Community Blood Center of the Carolinas (CBCC)! As the primary blood supplier to the region, our local hospitals rely on us to provide the blood needed to treat their patients, and we rely on organizations like yours to help us collect that blood from the community.

Blood donation isn't about disasters, it's about saving local lives every day. Our local hospitals use over 400 units of blood each day, which is more than the amount used for any major disaster in the U.S.

About Sponsoring a Drive

  • Sponsoring a blood drive with CBCC is a great way to give back to your community without spending any money.
  • When you sponsor a blood drive with CBCC, you're helping to support the life of someone in our community: a young cancer patient, an African American with sickle cell disease, an adult undergoing transplant surgery, or an accident victim.
  • A CBCC representative will work with you throughout the entire process to ensure your drive is a success.
  • CBCC will provide you with all the tools, materials and information you will need.
  • A bloodmobile is available for environments without adequate space.

Sponsoring a blood drive is an incredibly rewarding experience that requires commitment and enthusiasm. Having the support of your organization and building a committee of dedicated people to help plan your drive and recruit donors will help ensure your drive is a success.
